New Features

  • Added the ability to scan QR codes from the Lava app to apply applicable Discounts, apply available Loaded Value, and earn Loyalty Points for transactions.
    Note: The Discounts, Loaded Value, and Loyalty Points functions are applied when a user selects the Lava payment type on the Payments screen. Customers must apply Lava before any other payment types. If the customer’s account does not cover the balance of the transaction, they are prompted to provide another payment type.

Fixes and Enhancements

  • Fixed an issue where Items displayed in the wrong menu category if they had a Category Group Level 1 assigned but not a Category Group Level 2.

New Features

  • Added the ability to scroll through category selections on the Ordering screen when more than five categories are displayed.
  • Added an option to flag items as ‘Grab & Go.’ When the Grab & Go option is enabled for an Item, that Item does not display in the menu.
    To enable this option in Connect:
    1. Click Items > Items.
    2. Click the Item you want to modify.
    3. On the Item Details page, navigate to the Detailed Information section, and then set the ‘Is Grab & Go’ option to Yes.

  • Added the ability to run kiosks in Spooling mode so orders can be taken when the system is offline. Payment information is stored locally when offline and then processed when the system is back online.
    Note: Split payments and Loyalty payments are not supported in Offline mode.
  • Added the ability to run kiosks in Portrait mode.
    To configure this option in Connect:
    1. Click Vendors.
    2. Click the Vendor you want to modify.
    3. On the Vendor Settings page, enter the following text in the Theme configuration box: “preferredOrientation”: “portrait”
    4. Click Save Changes.

    Note: This setting can also be configured for a Venue.

  • Added a Check Number option, which lets users add a unique identifier to printed receipts to assist with guest pick-up.
    To configure this option in Connect:
    1. Click Options > Employee Roles.
    2. Click the Employee Role you want to modify.
    3. Click the Check Number tab.
    4. Set the Check Number option to Yes and configure any other required options.
    5. Click Save Employee Role.

    Note: The Order Prefix identifier must be configured in Interact (see below).

  • Added the ability to define order numbers on the kiosk.
    To configure this option in Interact:
    1. In the Admin Menu, click Order prefix.
    2. Enter the order prefix, and then click OK.

Fixes and Enhancements

  • Added the current software version to the Admin Main screen.
  • Updated Ordering functionality. Now users will be unable to place new orders after the Vendor has closed. If the Vendor is set to Closed status, the following message will display on the Home screen, ‘Kiosk Not in Service.’
    Notes:
    • The vendor open/close status is determined by the Vendor Role configuration in Connect.
    • Open and closed periods will be cached in the event of an offline scenario.
    • The Admin Login in Connect can be used when the kiosk is not in service.
    • Orders that are open or in progress when the kiosk switches to Closed status can be completed.

  • Improved Payment screen workflow. Now it’s easier to support partial payments and multiple forms of payment.
  • Fixed an issue where the Age Verification message did not display if alcoholic items were scanned (versus clicked on the Menu screen) and added to the cart.
  • Fixed an issue where users could swipe/scan a Givex card twice at checkout.

Interact Kiosk 1.3.3

New Features

  • Added multiple/partial payment support. Users can now apply partial payments via SKIDATA or Givex Loaded Value cards and complete payments with another card when the loaded value is inadequate to cover the checkout balance.
  • Added an Accessibility Mode option, to comply with ADA height requirements. Now there is an Accessibility Mode button (handicap/wheelchair symbol) on the Home screen when in Portrait Mode. This option scales the UI height down to seventy-three percent.
  • Added the ability to assign multiple Upsell Items. Now Administrators can define up to four Upsell Items for each menu Item.
    To assign Upsell Items in Connect:
    1. Click Items > Items.
    2. Click the Item you want to modify.
    3. Click the pencil icon under Upsell Item to assign items.

Fixes and Enhancements

  • Now the Diagnostics page displays the current Version Number.
  • Fixed an issue where Interact did not respect the Connect configuration for the Drink Limit Per Order and Drink Limit Per Event options (Options > Vendor Roles > Vendor > Alcohol tab).
  • Fixed an issue on the Previous Orders screen where the default sort order was incorrect. The oldest transactions displayed on the top, rather than the most recent transactions.
  • Fixed an issue on the Refund screen where the Refund Confirmation message did not display, so users were not prompted to confirm the refund.
  • Fixed an issue where the quantity of items in the cart was not always accurate.
  • Fixed an issue where orders showed incorrect order information (order number, time, and date) when reprinted from the Previous Orders page.
  • Fixed an issue where printed receipts displayed all Givex accounts under the same account number, rather than accurately listing account numbers and the applied amounts.
  • Fixed an issue where an IPP350 device would not clear after three unsuccessful attempts to use Apple Pay.

  • Added the ability to use Interact in Portrait mode.
  • Added an option to download and play a video on the Attract screen.
    To configure this option:
    1. In Connect, click Vendors.
    2. Click the Vendor you want to modify.
    3. In the Vendor Settings window, locate the ‘Theme configuration’ option and perform one of the following tasks:
      • Enter the Vendor theme configuration in JSON format.
      • Click Choose File to import a configuration file.

  • Fixed an issue where the Cardholder Name was not displayed in Connect from credit card transactions in Interact.
  • Fixed an issue where IPP350 did not clear the transaction amount after a successful checkout when using an EMV payment.
  • Fixed an issue where the timeout window displayed on the wrong screen. Now the timeout popup displays in all screens except the Login and Orders Waiting screens.
  • Fixed an issue where Interact Diagnostics files did not contain any information (were blank).
  • Fixed an issue where printed receipts did not include Item information.

  • Fixed an issue where the Digital Signature setting (Options > Employee Roles > Checkout > Digital Signature set to No) was not functioning as designed. Users could not checkout without a signature.
  • Fixed an issue where the Check Number setting (Options > Employee Roles > Check Number > Check Number set to Yes) was not respected, and the order number did not display or print on receipts.
